Structured CablingStandards-based copper and fiber cabling for Dallas-Fort Worth businesses
The Foundation Your Network Runs On
Every phone, workstation, wireless access point, camera and badge reader in your building depends on the cabling behind the walls. When it is designed and installed correctly, you stop thinking about it. When it is not, you get intermittent outages, slow connections and a telecom room nobody wants to touch.
Infinity Networks has designed and installed structured cabling systems across Dallas-Fort Worth since 1999. Our BICSI-certified technicians and in-house RCDD plan every project to industry standards, install it cleanly, test every link and hand you documentation you can actually use.
- Cat6 and Cat6A copper cabling
- Single-mode and multimode fiber
- Tested, labeled and documented
What We Install
Complete cabling infrastructure, from the wall plate to the core of your network.
Horizontal Copper Cabling
Category 6 and Category 6A cabling to workstations, wireless access points, cameras and other network devices, terminated to TIA-568 performance standards.
Fiber Optic Backbones
Single-mode and multimode fiber between telecom rooms, floors and buildings, sized for today’s bandwidth with room to grow.
Telecom Rooms (MDF/IDF)
Racks, cabinets, cable ladder, patch panels and grounding laid out for clean cable management and easy future changes.
Data Center Cabling
High-density structured cabling for server rooms and data centers, organized for airflow, access and growth.
Pathways & Support
J-hooks, cable tray, conduit and sleeves installed so cabling is protected, supported and code-compliant.
Moves, Adds & Changes
Additions, relocations and cleanup for growing teams, completed without disrupting the rest of your network.
Built to Industry Standards
Standards exist so your cabling performs as specified and works with any manufacturer’s equipment. We design and install to the ANSI/TIA standards that govern commercial cabling, and every installation follows National Electrical Code requirements for cable ratings, including plenum-rated cable where cable runs through air-handling spaces.
TIA-568
Performance and installation requirements for copper and fiber cabling.
TIA-569
Requirements for telecom rooms, cable routes and supporting infrastructure.
TIA-606
A consistent labeling scheme so every cable, port and panel can be identified.
TIA-607
Proper grounding of racks and equipment to protect people and electronics.
How We Work
One accountable team from planning to final documentation.
Site Survey & Design
We walk the space, document existing conditions and design the cable plant, pathways and telecom rooms around your floor plan.
Installation
Cable is installed with proper support, bend radius and separation from electrical, with minimal disruption to your operations.
Testing & Certification
Every link is tested after termination to confirm it meets the performance standard for its category, and you receive the results.
Labeling & Documentation
Cables, panels and outlets are labeled to TIA-606, and you receive as-built documentation for future changes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about structured cabling.
Structured cabling is a standardized system of cables, connecting hardware and pathways that carries data, voice, video and building systems throughout a facility. Instead of point-to-point runs added over time, every cable follows a planned layout: horizontal cabling to each outlet, backbone cabling between telecom rooms and organized patch panels where everything connects. The result is a network that is easier to manage, troubleshoot and expand.
Cat6 reliably supports 1 Gbps and can carry 10 Gbps up to about 55 meters, which covers most office workstations. Cat6A supports 10 Gbps across the full 100-meter channel and handles higher-power Power over Ethernet devices with less heat buildup, which makes it the better choice for wireless access points, new construction and spaces you plan to occupy long term. We recommend the right category for each part of your project.
It depends on the number of drops, building conditions and the construction schedule. A small office may take a few days, while a multi-floor buildout is scheduled in phases alongside the general contractor. Your proposal includes a timeline, and we plan the work around your move-in or go-live date.
Yes. Every link is tested after installation to confirm it meets the performance standard for its category. You receive the test results along with labeling and as-built documentation, which makes future troubleshooting and changes much faster.
Yes. For occupied offices, we can schedule work after hours or on weekends so your team can keep working without interruption.
Yes. We are based in Richardson and serve the entire DFW area, and our national vendor network lets us manage multi-site projects across the United States.
